Good Fitting Bras

Do you know how important it is to have good fitting bras? In order to actually determine what is the best fitting bra, you need to be measured. I promise not only to find you a good fitting bra, a bra that is comfortable and works when your wearing a t-shirt or a cocktail dress.  To start here at the pointers to look for when looking for that perfect fit,

  • The under band should be firmly anchored around the body – level at the front and back
  • No puckering or overspill in the cup
  • Comfortable and supportive straps
  • Under-wires should sit flat against the chest wall
  • Everything should be fully contained within the cups and under-wire
  • Support, support, support, this will give you the lift you need and will give you the best shape

It happens so often that we find women not wearing the correct fit and bad fitting bras. This is why it is so important to come and see us so we can properly measure for the right fit. The most common things we see, wearing a bra that is too big around the back and too small in the cup. The following is what occurs when you do not wear a properly fitted bra.

  • Straps are too tight and dig into your shoulders
  • The cup size is to small – your girls are squeezed out of the cup creating a double breast effect
  • When the cup size is too small and band size too big you get a forward drooping effect
  • When the band size is too big you will not get the support you need because the band will start riding up your back
  • If the cup size is to small the under-wire will start to push away from your body and dig into your skin (that cannot be comfortable)

Moral of the story, come in and visit us for a complimentary fitting to ensure you are wearing the right fit and we can help you find good fitting bras. Remember by wearing the right fit you are bound to feel more comfortable and confident. Did you know when your chest is correctly positioned you can visibly reduce your waistline!
